Re-imagining Humanitarian Responses to Displacement (010GRS)
30 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll explore new ideas about how the world responds to displacement.
First, you’ll question how powerful global institutions and governments react to crisis, assessing the limits of these ‘global responses’. You’ll then examine ‘new’ actors and models which respond to mass displacement. Finally, you’ll put your learning into practice.
You’ll develop skills in:
- design thinking
- applying your knowledge of current responses to rethink how resources reach displaced populations
- identifying what’s needed to drive change in global displacement responses.
