Autumn teaching

On this module, you’ll explore the theory and practice of trading in international financial markets.

You’ll analyse the fundamental, technical and behavioural aspects of different markets. You’ll explore the key characteristics and recent trends in:

  • stocks
  • bonds
  • commodities
  • currencies.

Using specific resources, such as Bloomberg and virtual trading platforms, you’ll develop analytical and practical trading skills.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
