Strategic Brand Management (N1601)

15 credits, Level 6

Autumn teaching

The management of brands is an important element of marketing strategies within contemporary organisations.

On this module, you’ll build on your knowledge of marketing and management by exploring the fascinating world of brands from various perspectives.

You’ll learn about the presence of brands in our cultures and explore the consequences for both contemporary marketing and customer-oriented marketing practices.

You’ll take a holistic approach to brand management. You’ll do this by drawing on contemporary research and theories from branding and consumer literature. You’ll then use this to discuss the impact of brands on businesses, consumers and society.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.

We鈥檒l make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
