Animals in Their World: From Physiology to Behaviour (C7144)
15 credits, Level 5
Autumn teaching
On this module, you’ll examine how an animal’s morphology and physiology adapt to their environment and ecology.
You’ll discover how vertebrates and invertebrates:
-
overcome problems of energy supply
-
regulate water balance and temperature
-
sense their environment and move through it.
You’ll explore:
-
morphological features and physiological systems
-
how solutions can be similar in distantly related animals
-
how they diverge in closely related species.
