The Meaning of Life (V7087E)
15 credits, Level 4
Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll confront some of the fundamental questions about what makes life meaningful:
- Is it bad to die?
- Would immortality be good?
- Does it matter if you’re stuck in the matrix?
- Are you really free?
You’ll also engage with fundamental moral questions relating to animal rights and human rights. You’ll develop your ability to apply philosophical thinking to real-world problems in order to benefit society.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
