Autumn teaching
On this module, you’ll examine some of the methods of study that have shaped the discipline of art history, alongside the debates that have influenced the nature of art history.
You’ll cover a variety of dominant methods and influences on the current discipline of art history, such as:
- iconology
- feminist theory
- post-colonialism
- semiotics
- the social history of art.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
