On this module, you’ll explore the historical and cultural foundations of media and digital culture.
By introducing and discussing the foundational schools of media theory, the module enables a broad understanding of the media and the key methods and approaches that have been undertaken historically to study them. You’ll learn about the key theories and theorists that influenced and shaped media and communication.
When you complete this module, you’ll have a developed an intellectual foundation for further study of media, technology and culture.
