This module will help you become better prepared for the job market.

Through real-world work placements with key sector partners, you’ll improve your work-readiness and career management skills.

You’ll learn key employability skills, such as:

  • building a CV
  • interviewing
  • presentation skills.

Topics include:

  • distilling and communicating a project brief
  • sociology and criminology in the workplace
  • theory and practice
  • wider employability skills
  • commercial report writing.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
