Autumn and spring teaching
On this module, you’ll research and write a dissertation on a subject of your choice.
After choosing your topic in consultation with a supervisor, you’ll work under their guidance.
The teaching is designed to equip you with the required research skills, such as:
- research methodology
- writing up
- advanced word processing
- researching online.
Some skills you’ll develop include:
- the skills of independent research and learning
- good time management
- the ability to reflect on progress
- an appreciation of the value of constructive criticism.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
