Practitioner and Activist Skills for Global Justice (012IDS)

Spring teaching
This module aims to equip you with practical, analytical and life skills to make a positive difference in the world.
Through successful showcases of social, climate and reparative justice work, you’ll learn to:
- design and support advocacy campaigns
- work with grassroot communities and global organisations
- present evidence to inform policy change
- produce briefs, reports and media pieces to influence diverse audiences.
Interactive workshops will teach you to:
- think like a practitioner, consultant and activist
- adapt creative ideas to different contexts
- apply tools for change to real-life scenarios in international development.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
