Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll explore anthropology as:
- an exciting, ‘living’ subject, alive to the concerns of different communities and populations living across the globe
- cutting edge in terms of the research conducted by anthropologists at Sussex as they actively engage with issues of social, cultural and global transformation.
You’ll consider core themes that are central to the subject and capture anthropological thinking about culture, identity and representation. These are:
- kinship, self and body
- economy as culture
- religion and politics
- work on the global-local interface.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
