Political identities, actions and allegiance connect to our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Likewise, our cultural and political contexts shape us and our life experiences.
On this module, you’ll use primary sources to explore the relationships between:
- individual and group identities
- feeling and actions
- personal experiences and political change.
Module learning outcomes
- evaluate key theories about subjectivity, selfhood and the history of the emotions
- critically apply these to an understanding of modern politics
- undertake analysis of primary sources
- complete a sustained piece of independent research
