Module code: Q1139
Level 5
15 credits in autumn semester
Teaching method: Workshop
Assessment modes: Portfolio, Observation, Group presentation
On this module, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a local Further Education college or secondary school. You’ll learn how to apply skills and knowledge from your degree in a classroom setting.
The module is co-run with school and college leaders and will help you design and deliver a project that supports and inspires the next generation of students.
On this module, you'll:
- develop skills in managing a project
- develop skills working in a professional setting
- gain insights into further and secondary school teaching.
Your learning combines sessions on campus with time in a school or college. On-campus sessions focus on practical strategies as well as pedagogical theory. In-school time gives you the chance to work alongside experienced teachers.
You’ll need a DBS check to take part in the module. We’ll organise this for you at no cost.
