Applied Economics and Finance Project (L1094)

Spring teaching

On this module, you’ll put the ideas and quantitative techniques that you’ve learned into practice to complete an empirical project in economics or finance.

You’ll:

  • choose one of the project titles (or create your own, with approval)
  • survey relevant literature
  • collect data and apply appropriate statistical or econometrics methods
  • compile and interpret results.

You’ll have an assigned supervisor to guide you through the project.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 3 hours of contact time and about 147 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
