We present a novel technique to switch \u201coff\u201d and \u201con\u201d the magnetic field from a permanent magnet without demagnetisation or moving parts. The novel magnetic circuit achieves bi-stable switching by simply applying a current above a given threshold. We predict that the generated magnetic field will have orders of magnitude less noise than what can be obtained using currents, yet can be switched on and off.<\/p>\n
